You're only as good as the sum of your parts, and one person can't be a team.

I think that's the key for a good team, to work together like a family. It's something that I've learned over the years with the experience that I've gotten over 10 seasons.

I have my team. Like if you see everyone around me - I have my hair and makeup girl, my assistant. They're very calm, they're all about positive energy. There're no drama queens. Everyone wants everyone else to have a positive experience. There are no agendas. I think it creates a healthy environment and there are no boundaries to cross.

You have to get along with people, but you also have to recognize that the strength of a team is different people with different perspectives and different personalities.

I think people have different definitions of team unity. My definition is doing whatever it takes to win, what makes a great team; it's performance on the field, respect on the field.

I've never been on one of these shows where you have to make alliances and be a team player.

Good teams I played on... just the tone that they play with, the energy they play with, how they go about it. When you get it going the right way, you get everyone going in the same direction and it's a powerful thing.

We can't all be good at everything. This is partly the logic behind having a team in the first place, so each role can be filled with the person best suited for that role and together, every job and every strength is covered.

But the best teams I've encountered have one important thing in common: their team structure and processes cover a full range of distinct competencies necessary for success.

A team is where a boy can prove his courage on his own. A gang is where a coward goes to hide.
