Chance determines our lives in important ways.

Everyone takes pause at 40. It's the age you have to assess everything in your life. It's the fictitious marker that's always coming up when you're young. The world really does look at you to kind of have it together by 40, and be successful by 40. Whatever success means.

When you do life a certain way, it's bound to give you a higher level of probability to succeed, and that's what we preach.

When you're in your 40s, you become more conscious of life being of limited duration and that you need to create memories and go on little adventures from time to time.

Chance plays a powerful role in every life - our brains and personalities are just chemical soup, after all; a few drops here or there matter enormously - but consequences often become more serious as income levels go down.

Personally, I think life offers us the opportunity to take chances and make changes all the time.

We all have big changes in our lives that are more or less a second chance.

You can't fall in love after 40; you know so much about life that you can't get fooled anymore.
