I'm surrounded by such beautiful, creative people, and I just love sort of sharing their stories and their journeys.

You have only so many chances to tell stories. I didn't want to be forever wedded to one form of storytelling when there are so many out there.

I'm a storyteller; that's what exploration really is all about. Going to places where others haven't been and returning to tell a story they haven't heard before.

I love telling stories. Creating a character, a world, a whole universe out of nothing. That part I can't get enough of.

Anyway, stories bring us together to find common ground, to find our way through life together, or just to entertain us, and I am just thrilled to be a part of that process.

My stories are often a little mysterious.

All stories interest me, and some haunt me until I end up writing them. Certain themes keep coming up: justice, loyalty, violence, death, political and social issues, freedom.

You know, we love stories and we love narrative; we love to get lost in an author's world.

The opportunity to be a storyteller is the greatest thing in the world, and I feel so lucky and really love it.
