Sometimes you do get caught up in the midst of becoming... a product, a brand, and not having a say in any of that.

You want people using your product because it's a part of your life, then they can't stop using it.

If you have a strong sense of who you are and what you're doing, then it's actually easier to work with other people, because you don't have to worry about them or yourself. You're just worrying about getting the best product, and all that other stuff is out of the way.

Most of the time, I don't really give people a chance. I have a wall up. I'm always protecting who I am. Thinking about my brand. I make it hard on people. Sometimes, it's a good thing. Sometimes, it's a bad thing.

I know I always worked hard on making sure we came out with the best possible product and of course we were working with four other people, you have to balance that as well.

I mean I constantly had security guards around me when I was younger and I wasn't allowed to go to the mall with a lot of my friends and stuff like that. And so, when I finally was able to sneak out, I would just really, really take it to the next level.

I always keep my guard up with guys and I guess that can get in the way sometimes. I can make them go through hell.

I feel I have to protect myself against things. So I'm pretty careful to lose most of them.

You can say the right thing about a product and nobody will listen. You've got to say it in such a way that people will feel it in their gut. Because if they don't feel it, nothing will happen.
