Twelve-step promotes spirituality, not religion. It gives a practical, day-to-day spirituality that tells me what I can and cannot control. There is room to be imperfect and to be someone who struggles to find God.

The great task of life is to learn the will of the Lord and then do it.

At the end of the spectrum when you get to that 12th step, when you have that spiritual awakening we make ourselves available to help other people.

After the knowledge of, and obedience to, the will of God, the next aim must be to know something of His attributes of wisdom, power, and goodness as evidenced by His handiwork.

It taught me something. It taught you your craft.
