When I went to art school, I was just having fun. I realised that was the last chance I had, and then I would have to get a job.

I went to quite an academic school, and all my friends were going to university, but even before my acting jobs, I didn't want to do that. I didn't want to spend another three years being institutionalised, and I feel that getting out of that system benefited me in quite a few ways.

When I graduated from high school, I had artistic and academic scholarships, and I was trying to figure out what to do. I decided to audition for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Julliard, and the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney, Australia.

I left school with no qualifications, but I was doing theatre and film work and thought that was the best thing since sliced bread.

I kind of just lucked into and fell into the other profession. It was really just an outgrowth of the fact that when I was in art school, I had no money whatsoever.

I went to art school, I think it helped me a great deal because it taught me who I am.

I went to drama school for four years at Carnegie Mellon, conservatory training before television comedy. I was doing Shakespeare and Chekov plays. It's about delivering on the promise of a $100,000 education and taking the shackles off and trying the hand at my craft. I'm thrilled with what I've seen so far.
