I've always said that kids should enhance your life, not hinder your life, so I just try to make the most out of being with my kids. You have to have a life for yourself somewhere in the mix of being a wife and mum.

It's not about what you tell your children, but how you show them how to live life.

My mum told me, 'At that moment when you know you can't do both, the marriage and the kids, choose the marriage because you're going to be spending your whole lives together, so you have to put a lot of work and attention into the relationship.'

Even though your kids will consistently do the exact opposite of what you're telling them to do, you have to keep loving them just as much.

You tell your kids that no matter what, you set your goals and you go for them. Whatever it is you achieve, never give up. You want your kids to have that good attitude, the confidence, and the will power to believe in themselves.

What I do, it's part of my job, but you want to bring your kids up the right way and give them everything - to be there for them and have that connection.

I am lucky in that I love what I do, but it can still be hard to be away from the kids for long lengths of time. At the end of the day, all I want is to be with my kids, but it's worth it to create a future for my family.

I did what I felt that I wanted to do. Fairly selfishly. I didn't know my kids as well as I should have.

Every single decision I make about what material I do, what I'm putting out in the world, is because of my children.
