While films are a very visual and emotional artistic medium, video games take it one step further into the realm of a unique personal experience.

Rather than just making a movie about video games, I wanted to start with the character and what the character was going through.

The great thing about games is that it's tremendously collaborative, and it opens you up to this other world of thinking and storytelling and how you construct those stories.

There's a sense of fiction in every video game. It creates a world for itself that you want to obey.

You have to find ways to relate to the characters you get to play. Put it in terms and in a context that speaks to you.

Games are the way we keep romance alive. They're based in human hardwiring. Playing hard-to-get or leaving a little to the imagination allows the woman to be wooed and appreciated and the man to be challenged and intrigued.
