The whole reason behind my album 'Free TC' is seeing all that police brutality, injustice, mass incarceration.

I felt really free, like I could do anything, because no one would know what to expect.

For those of you that don't know, the reason I named my album 'Free TC' is because my lil' brother is named TC. He's locked up for something that he didn't do, and what I'm trying to do is just raise awareness around the whole mass incarceration thing going on in our country, especially with our people.

I have a hard time with free time.

I really don't get recognized much.

I'm free. I'm free to say what I feel.

I get recognized a lot now. It's great.

I don't get recognised until I'm on stage, and then I can walk off and forget about it. It's great.

I always felt like something of an outsider. But I identified with people up on the screen. That made me feel like I wanted to be up on the screen too. I felt like eventually I would get there.

I don't feel restricted by the language: I feel more free.
