Decorating has always been my hobby.

I love decorating my home. I'm a gardener too, so that's usually something I have to play catch up with.

Houses are one of my passions. I probably should have been an interior decorator.

I want to make sure I'm not a dilettante. Decorating has been a passion all my life. I love it.

Here at the house, I've been decorating it and getting it organized. My best friend moved in in October so I've been getting her settled. She's my personal assistant now.

I'm suspicious of places that look decorated. I can understand why people do it, but you see too many cushions or a piece of fabric hanging and it's, like, 'Ugh!' A good house with good art will always work, no matter what.

My personal decorating style is cozy, romantic and a little rustic, with a sense of whimsy.

My favorite thing about decorating is mixing different periods and styles. If you have something that's old, and you really do want to mix those styles, then you have to add something that's obviously modern with it. You can't put a kind of a mediocre thing in the middle.

My house looks like it was decorated by a 14-year old with a platinum American Express card.
