I prefer being known for my stand-up because I write it. I love being an actor, and saying other people's words is great. But then, when I do stand-up, I love getting my own point of view out there.

I love doing stand-up. It's so self-contained - you go there, you do it, you go home - but with telly, there are too many people involved with it with opinions. You have a product, and everyone wants to change it.

And I like to convey my feelings, my emotions, my experience, the information I have to public use, public opinion.

People always come up to me and say, 'you should do standup.' It's nice to discover things about yourself. That keeps everything lively and fun.

I stand up to people.

I like to motivate and inspire people.

It's not what my job is about. I'm not out to make a political statement. I want to stand for something, but more by example.
