Hip-hop is so much about character and caricature that people just see you as a character. Very rarely are you flesh and bone to people.

I had a hip replacement a couple of years ago. I have a song about that. And why wouldn't you? It strikes me that that was a huge event. It's kind of funny and horrible and interesting, so why wouldn't one write about that?

I have no problem with my hips - I can still do the things that I used to do. I can run, I'm just not the fastest person on the field anymore.
