Being a vegan is pretty easy these days, as almost every town and city has health food stores and vegetarian-friendly restaurants.

I tend to eat geographically. When I'm in L.A., I like to eat L.A. food.

And so there I was living in California from Brooklyn, New York, and it was this whole new world for me and I was meeting vegetarians. I thought, let me try this vegetarian thing. I got really into that.

There's no buying a greasy breakfast in L.A. - it's all organic juices.

One thing I'll tell you is the food in Sacramento is off the charts. You've got good Asian food, the farm system where everything is natural, which I believe in. I like organic.

We had three cows and a goat. People from New York and L.A. are like, 'Oh my gosh, that's a farm!' But people in Tennessee are like, 'That's not a farm.' I've never milked a cow or anything like that.

When you just arrive in L.A., you are in a great position, as you are 'fresh meat,' and people will meet you and give you a chance.

My big downfall is deep-dish pizza from Chicago. That is why I can't go vegan - I can't give up cheese. I can't give up dairy.

I live in L.A., I grew up here, it's not that crazy for me because it's L.A., you know?

I'm super supportive of locally grown foods and farmers. Here in L.A., I know all of my farmers markets and go there weekly.
